Research:
These photos were really interesting to me because in one photo the colors are simple and in the other the colors are very vibrant! They both give the view a "awe" feeling. Which is what I am striving to do in my photos.

My 20 New Photos:
During these photos the only way I could get both dogs to look at the camera was bribing them with doggie treats then taking the shot when they looked. I took the first dogs photo at my house and I took the other dogs photo at my grandparents house. I was mainly trying to capture photos of them in the natural light that was really bright!

My 4 Edited:
After playing around with these 4 photos in photoshop I found the perfect technique, which was to enhance the dark areas of all the photos and to make them more clear. For the last image I decided to make it more darker and grey compared to the other photos because I felt that I would give an older feeling to the image.

5 Step Critique:
1.)Observe
2.)Describe-This photograph is a 8.5 inches by 11 inches digital print on a glossy paper in a black on black frame of a happy dog! This photo was taken up really close. It is horizontal image. Around the dogs neck is a fabric of thanks giving images. In the background is a fluffy baby blue blanket.
3.)Analyze- One Element of Design that this photo best represents would be contrast. It's contrast because with the light background and the dog's dark eyes and nose, it brings the viewers eye to the face. One Principal of Design that this photo represents is texture. When I emphasized the texture of the photo, the blanket in the background gives a soft texture while the hair of the dog is a lot more clear.
4.)Interpret- My interoperation of the image above, is intending to give the viewer an "awe" moment. There is something cute about a little puppy just smiling at the camera.
5.)Evaluate-I think this photo was very successful because of how the colors and texture all blended in nicely together. Another reason why this photo was a success was because it hit all the target points I was aimed for.
