Research:
I really liked these photos because they were taken in a location similar to Durango. They were also taken at dusk which was the time of day I was taking pictures.

My 20 Photos:
These photos were taken with my mom in Skyridge late November. The reason why we chose this specific location was because the view was breath taking. There weren't many house near the spot I was taking the photos, it was very calm environment.

My 4 Edited:
In each photo there was something that I took out or added compared to the original. Can you find it? I used the clone stamp tool and I had darkened the tone which created a more dusk vibe to the photo.

5 Step Critique:
1.) Observe-
2.)Describe- This photograph is a 8.5 inch by 11 inch digital print on a lustre paper with a grey frame of a beautiful Durango. The photo was taken low to the ground. I had used the stamp tool to edit a sign out. On the bottom half of the image is wheat and going from the left side of the image is a metal fence shrinking into the distance towards the right side of the photo. In the middle of the photo on the horizontal line is a hill with big green trees. On the upper half of the photo, behind the hill, is mountains with a blue tint to them. Finally, at the top of the image is a white sky.
3.)Analyze- One element of Design incorporated in this photo would be line because the fence is a series of lines of the three horizontal lines getting smaller and smaller with the vertical lines getting closer and closer to one another. The lines of the fence created repetition. The line of the fence is important because it leads the viewer's eyes down the fence line. One principal of design this photo best represents would be repetition because you see the same shape over and over in the fence. The repetition is being used to create harmony. One element of Design incorporated in this photo would be value because the bottom half of the image is a darker tone than the upper half of the photo. Value is used to distinguishing the mountains in the distance to the up close hill and land. One principal of design this photo best represents would be contrast because its value contrast.
4.)Interpret- This image was intended to give the view a peaceful mood. The image was taken in a location where their weren't many houses so it was very quiet. With the open field being displayed in the photo that also creates a peaceful or calm vibe.
5.)Evaluate- I think this photo was very successful because my intentions were to take a photo in dusk and edit in or out an object. On one of the fence post there was a sign and I had edited it out.
